Macario Deguzman

Macario DeGuzman is a successful and focused entrepreneur and leader based out of Miami, Florida.  Working for Mercedes Benz of Fort Lauderdale was no joke, and Macario DeGuzman remains proud of his work. He proved to be a proven, capable, and stellar leader time and time again over the years and works diligently to keep himself and his team in top shape. Mac wants everyone to put their best foot forward when they come to work—everyone is skilled, and no one should sell themselves short. He wholeheartedly believes in the abilities of his team.  These ideologies were probably instilled best by his passions outside of work.  Mac has a variety of attachments, including playing basketball and devotion to his family and faith.  Mac reserves an extraordinary place in his heart for his hobby of Photography and what it allows him to accomplish.

Mac has been obsessed with photography since a young age.  His favorite technological change of the last 20 years has been the increased quality, and manipulability of camera’s on cell phones.  It has allowed him to treat every space he’s in like a photo studio and takes every opportunity he gets to snapshots of his surroundings.  Whether it is a picture of a book he wants to remember to call later or the perfect pic of his friends, Mac never misses an opportunity to work on his craft.

Mac takes particular joy from his time working in landscape photography.  It allows him to blend two of his deepest passions, hiking, and photography.  Mac takes special pleasure in the difficulty of natural photography.  Carrying a camera, waking up early, scouting locations in advance, all on top of hiking rugged terrain for a shot that’s in your mind and you want to bring to life is a rewarding experience, regardless of whether or not you get a stunning image each time.  Blending hiking with photography has allowed him to explore the country from coast to coast and capture moments that will allow him to relive his experiences and reimagine all the memories he formed on those travels. 

Macario attended and graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. Upon graduation, Mac worked for several years before applying for a position with Mercedes Benz of Fort Lauderdale in Florida. Becoming the Sales Manager for the branch of Mercedes Benz, Macario DeGuzman worked hard to lead his team to success and help customers coming to the branch find all of their automobile needs. This assisted him greatly in learning and improving on a number of skills, including customer service, interpersonal communication, organization, and establishing sales that exceed established customer goals. 

After five years with Mercedes Benz of Fort Lauderdale, Macario DeGuzman transferred to Mercedes Benz of Palm Beach within the same position. He continued to build upon these skills for a year, establishing his position as Sales Manager through teamwork and his management skills. As a proven leader with numerous years of success under his belt, Mac aims primarily to establish respect and trust between himself and his team; he believes that respect between coworkers and customers alike is the key to success at a professional and personal level. Treating others without respect will only come back to bite you in the end.

In addition to his proven track record, it’s this that led to his promotion from Sales Manager to General Sales Manager for Mercedes Benz of Palm Beach in March 2020. Macario DeGuzman is a proven leader through and through, and years of hard work led to his promotion within the company he’s worked with for nearly a decade.

As General Sales Manager, Macario DeGuzman was responsible for a list of different tasks. He coached sales teams on the proper closing techniques of the automotive industry through training and active participation and led profitability within each team. He was responsible for leading all showroom activities while maintaining an experienced level of product knowledge—something gained after years with the company. His past experience comes in handy with ensuring high Customer Satisfaction scores, and Mac must analyze the scores to determine and isolate areas in need of improvement. He must also conducted weekly sales training meetings for Sales and Product Specialists while hiring, motivating, and monitoring the performance of the New and Used teams, Internet Sales, Financial Managers, and Service Drive Sales.
